Home and Beauty Entrepreneurs Join WIN 2017!

The Boston WIN Lab has four Beauty and Home entrepreneurs entering the program in 2017, all with the goal of incorporating organic and all-natural ingredients into our makeup, fashion, and cleaning products. This should come as no surprise, as the all-natural and billion dollar beauty market is still on the rise. People have been buying organic foods for long enough, concerned about what goes into their bodies, it seems only natural to start worrying about what goes on our bodies and is used in our homes as well. One WINner founded her company after discovering for herself how chemicals in beauty products can have serious physical impact, while other WINners are looking at natural solutions ranging from cinnamon-inspired footwear fashion to fresh-smelling laundry and home cleaning. WIN Lab alumna Abby Speicher heads to Shark Tank on February 24 to pitch DartDrones, a company that teaches soon-to-be drone pilots how to fly with online and in-person classes nationwide. Certainly no easy task, DartDrones makes sure it keeps up with FAA regulations in order for their clients to pass an intensive, 60 question test - a requirement for those who want to become a certified commercial drone pilot.

WINners head to sunny FL for a shot at $50,000 with SUP-X!

As one of the largest entrepreneurship events in Florida quickly approaches, we're happy to announce that two WIN Lab startups will be participating in this year's SUP-X Startup Expo in Fort Lauderdale on March 6 and 7. The two teams, who will have the opportunity to showcase their companies in front of over 1,500 investors, entrepreneurs, and ecosystem experts, were chosen based on their impressive traction during the WIN Lab accelerator, determined during the final presentation of Phase I. Those teams include Miami team Apollonix and and Boston WIN Lab startup Busy Beauty.

Palmpress Coffee to Pitch at SUP-X Kickoff!

Jessica Do, Founder of Palmpress Coffee, has been selected to pitch live for a chance to showcase her company at the SUP-X: The Startup Expo Conference in March. She will be joined by six other startups with one of them walking away as the as the winner and represent Miami-Dade in the SUP-X startup competition semi-finals and receive a free exhibit booth and have an opportunity to win part of $50,000 total in cash!
